JOB TITLE: HR Administrator

RESPONSIBLE TO: HR Advisor

LOCATION: Peterborough, Bretton

TERMS Part time Monday to Friday, 20 Hours per Week Days of the week flexible, to be worked on site

RATE: £11.55 per hour/ £12,012 per annum

Main duties of the job

Our small HR team are looking for a HR Administrator to join them at our Peterborough site in Bretton. This is a generalist role, with an opportunity to get more involved over time to increase your skills in HR. This role is an ideal commute from Peterborough/Stamford/Bourne/The Deepings/surrounding areas etc.

Job responsibilities

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assisting the HR Advisor with the day to day running of the HR Department at our Peterborough site.
  • Answering face to face, email and telephone HR related queries.
  • HR file compliance including filing and archiving.
  • Appraisal and probation tracking.
  • Inputting and keeping HR information up to date on the HR system.
  • To issue contract updates and variations to contract as required and directed by the HR Advisor.
  • To process resignations and chair exit interviews with staff.
  • To proactively contribute and support the team to continuously improve the service provided by the HR Department.
  • Booking meetings and note taking at meetings.
  • To undertake any other duties as reasonably required by management.

  • - Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.
  • - Passion for HR and people.
  • - Flexibility/adaptability with excellent team working skills.
  • - Excellent note taking and record keeping.
  • - Strong attention to detail skills.
  • - This is an onsite role working in our HR office. You will be working mostly alongside the HR Advisor, the other HR Administrator, Head of Wellbeing, Wellbeing Partner and Recruitment team but there will be occasions when you are onsite alone.
