We are recruiting a Payroll Manager to join us as we continue to expand throughout the UK!

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the HR Service Delivery Lead, the successful candidate will oversee and action all aspects of payroll processes within CHEC and all subsidiary organisations within CHEC You will be a critical player in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for someone who can: Supervise and manage the entire process, including the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll to meet designated deadlines. Ensure the accuracy and security of payroll data and confidential employee information. Prepare and submit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations. Coordinate with relevant authorities and external agencies for tax-related matters and inquiries. Review and analyse incoming information to assess accuracy and completeness, contacting managers or HR to clarify incomplete or inaccurate information Calculate and raise manual payments as necessary, ensuring records are updated and recovery action is implemented Work with managers on providing accurate and timely payroll information Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner. Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries or concerns. Stay up to date with payroll regulations and any related laws to ensure compliance Provide necessary documentation and support to ensure compliance and accuracy during audits.

Essential

  • Experience in payroll administration or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of managing payroll processes and systems
  • Experience using Cascade is advantageous
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements,
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to conduct payroll audits and ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex payroll-related information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships within CHEC
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment
