To continue with our support for the NHS, we are looking for general ophthalmologists of all grades to undertake consultation clinics across the range of services we offer. Job responsibilities

The post holder will be required to perform a range of ophthalmology appointments on patients referred to CHEC and provide supervision of the provision of adult community ophthalmology services delivered by healthcare professionals, working in accordance with CHEC treatment protocols and working practices. Day to day, the post holder will deliver high quality clinical care to patients attending the community ophthalmology service in the following areas: General Ophthalmology High volume phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia Glaucoma services AMD Laser treatment Minor eye surgeries

Applicants will be expected to have an excellent clinical quality record and be able to demonstrate the ability to perform efficiently in clinics/theatre. Applicants will also need to demonstrate commitment to excellent teamwork. The post holder will have the opportunity to review their job plan with the Clinical Director at least annually.
