At Care in Mind our homes are always a hub of activity and energy where the young people can feel safe, and our staff enjoy coming to work. As a Deputy Manager your role will involve working alongside and being supported by a multi-disciplinary team including Nurses, Psychologists and Psychiatrists. You will support the Registered Manager, helping plan rota's for the staff, conducting monthly supervisions, and assisting the team with their learning and development ensuring all the relevant training and inductions are completed.

Southfield House is a stunning 7-bedroom luxury home located in the charming town of Bromborough, within the metropolitan borough of Wirral, Merseyside. The home offers a front garden with parking, along with a large back garden perfect for outdoor activities, especially during the summer months. Southfield House is well-connected by public transport, making commuting and travel around the region convenient. Bromborough Train Station is approximately a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk from the property. For local bus services, Bromborough is well-served with regular buses that connect the area to Birkenhead, as well as offering routes to Liverpool city centre. Main Duties:

You will work shifts over a 37.5 hour working week. The shift patterns are variable depending on the needs of the service with 2 days per week office based to support the management of the home. Care hour shifts consist of Early's, Lates and occasional sleep ins & nights when required with Rota planning in advance, so flexibility is required.

Qualifications

Essential

• Must hold a Level 3 in Health and Social care or equivalent

Experience

Essential

• Experience in working within residential services
• Minimum of 12 months supervisory management experience

Skills

Essential

• Excellent understanding of mental health and the issues young people face
• To have a good understanding of Health and Social Care.
• To have a full clean driving license and access to a car for work purposes

Desirable

• Ability to control and manage of budgets
• Skills in the recruitment, selection and retention of staff.
• Previous experience in conducting disciplinary investigations and fact finds

Other

Essential

• Experience with working with Quality Care Commission (CQC) or Ofsted registered services.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to lead and manage a staff team to achieve highest possible standards for the service, staff and young people.
• The ability to work collaboratively with a wider multi-disciplinary team (both internal and external).
• Professional, confident and warm personality
• Leadership qualities, enthusiasm along with influencing and motivation skills.
• Committed to a structured approach to training and development of staff.
• Ability to organise own workload effectively and to work independently
• Ability to work shifts and work on a on call rota out of hours
