This is a community post, our head office is in Stockport but the postholder will be required to travel between regional hubs in Manchester, Chorley, Warrington and Birstall.
You must be a driver with access to a vehicle.

Experience working with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder either in community or in-patient setting
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.

Knowledge or training in systemic models
Knowledge or training in attachment disorders

Job responsibilities
As a Speciality Doctor you will:
Provide direct clinical assessment, formulation and psychiatric interventions with adequate supervision to the service users within Care in Minds care.
Promote an environment of service user involvement, recovery and service user centred care.
Ensure that the care in mind values and models of care are reflected in the interventions offered and implemented.
Provide psychiatric consultation and advice to both clinical and residential teams with adequate supervision.
Attend regular medical reviews for Service Users with adequate supervision.
To work into the Eating Disorder Service reviewing physical health observations and investigations in line with MEED guidance, feeding into risk plans, under adequate supervision
Liaise with other relevant professionals and attend CPA and Multi Agency meetings where agreed with the Consultant Psychiatrist and/or wider MDT.
Document notes from consultations and MDT discussions accurately and contemporaneously.
To maintain an overview with the Consultant Psychiatrist of medication management plans, GP Letters, MHA and Mental capacity assessments.
To partake in Mental Health Act assessment across the service
Partake in Audit and Service Development in areas of interest under supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist
Participate in referral review and assessments.
Always maintain confidentiality and comply with Care in Minds Equal Opportunities Policy

We mainly work with young people and young adults aged 16-30 with significant mental health difficulties who are often leaving the hospital or secure care and who require a higher level of support on discharge than other services can provide. We also provide specialist eating disorder services to support young people and young adults in the community.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Speciality Doctor. The Specialty Doctor will work 37.5 hours per week, 10PAs Monday to Friday. The Speciality Doctor will be able to utilise 1PA per week for Audit and CPD purposes. Part time opportunities will also be considered.
The Speciality Doctor will have access to a Consultant Psychiatrist who will be their supervisor and provide regular supervision. The post holder works alongside multi-disciplinary teams, which include Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Psychologists, Residential Managers and Support Workers. Your role will be to provide the psychiatric care for the young people as part of the multi-disciplinary team and under supervision. If interested there are opportunities to be involved in supervised therapeutic interventions across the service. You will be supported to progress in your career and access study leave. The Consultant Psychiatrist is a specialist in Medical Psychotherapy, therefore able to provide specialist supervision and training in therapeutic psychiatric formulation and treatments.
There is an ethos of MDT working at Care in Mind and the Speciality Doctor will always have access to an MDT.
