Job summary

The role requires an individual who is able to lead, motivate and manage staff working within the Dynamic Capacity Team; a team of non permanent clinicians.

You will provide line management including recruitment, performance management , supervision, working with the clinical governance team to ensure efficient monitoring, audit and for continuous quality improvement.

The role requires a lead who can motivate their team, with the ultimate aim of reducing waiting times for families, streamlining processes and allowing the business to grow in a sustainable way. Alongside this and of equal importance is making sure our staffs wellbeing and engagement is a priority and sustained, and they feel (and are) valued.

You will also support and manage clinical risk and safeguarding, working closely alongside the Healios Clinical Governance and Team.

Due to the fluctuating nature of this role, responsibilities can differ and there will be an element of client facing time in periods of low need for a dynamic capacity model. There is an expectation you will maintain a clinical caseload and ensure your clinical skills remain relevant and up to date.

You'll play a vital role in enabling our remote-working clinicians to deliver a range of clinical assessments and interventions including mental health assessments and interventions, CBT & Family Interventions for a range of mental health problems.

The clinical delivery team sets out to empower every young person to build the capabilities for long-term mental health to successfully navigate lifes challenges and experience a better quality of life.

  • Clinical qualification and registration in Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy or Psychology (Educational, Counselling, Clinical or Forensic)

  • Registered with a statutory body (NMC, HCPC, ACP, BABCP, UKCP or BACP)

  • Experience managing and supervising staff, including dealing with organisational change, performance management and conflict management

  • Experience of delivering clinical assessment/interventions to children and young people

  • Experience of & ability to undertake mental health risk assessments and develop risk management plans

  • Experienced in safeguarding assessment and clinical risk management

  • Experience of overseeing & managing mental health risk &/or safeguarding concerns raised by your team. This must include the ability to contain and support so they can carry out their role efficiently

  • Demonstrable experience of interagency liaison and communication with regards to managing risk and safeguarding incidents within your team

  • Experience of continuous quality improvement (incl audit), quality assurance /reporting and incident/complaint investigation

  • Extensive experience of operations in a clinical setting

  • Extensive experience of using and understanding data to improve operations

  • At least two years of working in a senior leadership role

  • A mindset and leadership style that is flexible, open to challenge and can effectively challenge others to think and operate differently

  • Collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders within Healios

  • Experience of establishing process that lead to improved performance

  • Collaborating with other clinical and non clinical colleagues, and working as part of the senior operations management team

  • Able to work under pressure to meet key performance indicators and organisational objectives

  • Superior interpersonal skills and a positive, approachable manner

  • Have a professional home working environment

Ideally, we would like you to be trained and experienced in a range of quality improvement methodologies; however, we will provide the appropriate training where this is required.
