Cardiac Scrub Theatre Practitioner

Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 37/5 hours per week

Shifts: Monday-Saturday, 4 or 5 long days per week, Occasional Saturdays

Salary: Competitive-Dependent on experience +Allowances +Golden Hello

We are looking for a Scrub Theatre Practitioner with strong Cardiac experienceto join our Theatre department at The Wellington Hospital and support our growing Cardiac Theatre Team and Service.

The Wellington Hospital provides the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Spinal surgery, orthopaedics, Gastroenterology and cancer care.

They have 13 Theatres across 3 buildings covering multiplesurgical specialties. Successful candidates will be part of a large theatre team of colleagues, experienced professionals. The Wellington Hospital has a successful track record of career progression, offering support, and development to those seeking to aspire higher or widen their knowledge. Including offer a Surgical First Assistant Course.

Main duties of the job

  • Work in both Theatres and Cardiac Cath Labs.

  • Preparing and maintaining the sterile field, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative period

  • Monitor and manage the patients condition during surgery, anticipating the needs of the surgical team

  • Providing high-quality care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of perioperative care and any interventions performed.
