This is a fantastic opportunity to join HCA Healthcare's new MR-Linac service, as the Principal Physicist (MR-Linac Planning). An Elekta Unity MR-Linac has been installed and is due to go live in Q2 2026.
Main duties of the job
The Principal Physicist (MR-Linac Planning) is the Medical Physics Expert responsible for developing and overseeing the online adaptive treatment planning process on the Elekta Unity MR-Linac.
In this role you will work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide cutting edge adaptive radiotherapy.

- Ability to act as a Medical Physics Expert for Radiotherapy as defined in IR(ME)R 2017
- Advanced theoretical & practical knowledge of ionising radiation and radiotherapy physics
- Advanced knowledge and experience of stereotactic planning and associated requirements
Desirable
- Experience of MR Linac technology
- Line management experience

- Masters degree in relevant scientific, technical, or healthcare related discipline
