Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Programme Manager /Team Lead to ensure that NHS school-aged vaccination programs are delivered on time and that results are achieved in line with contract specifications.
Main duties of the job
Assist with co-ordination and oversight of the day to day running of the school immunisation programme for the allocated team/s.
The post holder is responsible for assisting the Team Lead with daily management of office administration and co-ordination of the school programme. The post holder will ensure the programme runs in line with the Standard Operating Procedure for school immunisation and must promote this and support their team/s.
You must demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and co-operation and maintain high levels of competence, judgement, integrity and personal and professional accountability.

Vaccination UK has been commissioned by NHS England since 2015 to provide school aged immunisations, including Influenza, to pupils across numerous counties across England and all boroughs of North London.
We are also commissioned by NHS England in North London to provide outbreak response in the event of a vaccine preventable disease outbreak, and we provide the infant BCG programme to newborns in North London.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of school calendar for school immunisation sessions and catch-up clinics.
- Manage and update the staff rota to cover all administrators and nurses at least 8 weeks in advance, following the relevant Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Arrange emergency cover for staff in case of absence or sickness.
- Manage consent form triaging per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Ensure team members are well-trained and follow protocol.
- Handle stock audit checks and maintain supplies.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new recruits.
- Support Programme Manager/Team Lead and undertake delegated duties.
- Collaborate with schools and Programme Manager/Team Lead to improve uptake.
- Attend and conduct quality audits in schools and gather feedback.
- Ensure staff have access to and sign Patient Group Directives (PGDs) for immunisations.
- Deputise for the Team Lead as required when required.
- Actively and constructively contribute to team meetings.
