We currently have a vacancy for an
experienced Clinical Lead Nurse for Harrow and Brent. While this is a full-time role based
on-site, were happy to consider part-time applicants, with a minimum of
22 hours per week. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team where no two
days are the same. In this community-based role, you'll work in schools and
local communities, mentoring junior staff and leading a team of nurses to
ensure they work safely and effectively. You'll play a key role in increasing
the uptake of vaccinations in this age group. You'll be well-supported by a
growing network of Clinical Leads from across England and the Clinical
Director, ensuring you have the autonomy to manage your role while always
having the support you need to excel.
Main duties of the job
Your main role will involve visiting schools
alongside the immunisation team each day to support them in vaccinating
children against diseases such as HPV, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Meningitis,
and Measles. From September to December, you'll also assist in administering the
flu vaccine to children in both primary and secondary schools. You'll need
relevant experience and knowledge of immunisations, as you'll be mentoring
junior staff and ensuring they're competent to practice.
In addition, you'll conduct audits, address
any clinical incidents or complaints, and collaborate closely with the Team
Lead and Programme Manager to drive vaccination uptake within Harrow and Brent. Strong
communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
As an experienced vaccinator, you'll lead by
example and ensure the team receives the clinical supervision they need, both
in group settings and on a 1:1 basis.
