to recruit new staff to join our existing teams.
We are
looking for a skilled and dynamic Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, with extensive experience in the field of neurological rehabilitation to join us as we open an exciting new service in Chedington, Dorset.

are excited to be setting up this brand new service in the grounds of the
stunning Chedington Estate in Dorste. We
will have a range of fully accessible, luxury independent living accommodation
with state-of-the-art facilities, including gyms and hydro pools, with access
to adaptive sporting opportunities across the estate. We will provide bespoke intensive
rehabilitation packages to adults and children with a range of conditions,
including brain injury, spinal cord injury, poly-trauma and amputation and
other neurological conditions, utilizing the latest neuro technology alongside
clinical excellence in neurological and amputee rehab and complimentary
therapeutic activities such as massage and adaptive sports

Main duties of the job
The successful candiate will work as the senior clinical specialist physiotherapist, developing and maintining the neurological rehab pathway at Chedington, working alongside the Clinical Service Lead.
The role will include specialist assessment and treatment for a caseload of neurological patients with both physical and cognitive impairments, as well as supporting an MDT including junior and senior therapists from a range of disciplines, working towards a range of rehabilitation goals, participating in family meetings, MDTs and discharge planning.

Now operating from a number of locations, Hobbs Rehabilitation provides specialist inpatient and outpatient neurological rehabilitation for adults and children across the south of England, treating a wide variety of conditions, including stroke, acquired brain injury and spinal cord injuries. The successful candidate will work with clients in our inpatient setting predominantly but may have the opportunity to see outpatients as well as community patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Specialist assessment of patients with acquired physical and cognitive impairments using a range of formal and informal assessments.
- Practice safely within the legal and ethical boundaries of the profession.
- Formulate patient-centred goals in conjunction with MDT.
- Create and provide one-to-one intervention to patients with acquired physical and cognitive impairments, using a comprehensive knowledge of evidence-informed practice and treatment options.
- Evaluate patients progress using published outcome measures.
- Liaising regularly with the Hobbs MDT and wider care team.
- Organise and plan the MDT therapy caseload at Chedington Neuro rehab unit in conjunction with other clinical team members to meet the patients and service needs, readjusting plans as situations change or arise.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical notes using site-specific software and local procedures.
- Write high-quality patient reports, including MDT discharge reports for inpatients.
- Attend and contribute to patient and family meetings, both face-to-face and via video.
- Supervision, support and training for other members of the MDT on specialist neurological rehab topics, imparting clinical skills through hands-on teaching and mentoring
