Job summary
Associated Wellbeing Limited are looking for enthusiastic and
passionate Healthcare Assistants, who would like to make a positive change to
the lives of young people that we support at our new provision The Elms. The Elms is an 8 bedded child and adolescent community
home service based in Bradford, Yorkshire. The Elms have a range of interventions available to the
young people we support. The Elms offer treatment beds to support young people in accessing therapy, focussing on future goals and gaining independent living.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who is kind, caring and compassionate. You need to be able to work independently and use initiative, but equally work as part of a wider team. A positive attitude is imperative along with excellent communication and listening skills. The role includes, engaging the hard to engage and instilling hope in young people who struggle to see what tomorrow looks like.

We can offer a Trainee Nurse Associate programme in association with UCLAN. Alternatively, for those wanting to progress to Manager level within the company, we offer an NVQ Level 5 Apprenticeship and Diploma in Children Young People and Families Manager.

join the team at Associated Wellbeing as a Healthcare Assistant. We are looking
for motivated and compassionate individuals to help support children and young
people experiencing mental health difficulties.
We
are looking for candidates to have a good understanding of mental health,
either through career or personal experience, and can effectively listen and
empathise with the children and young people that we care for. The Elms will have
a range of interventions available to the young people we support and the
provision has 8 beds. The Elms support young people who have experienced trauma and present with a range of complexities. The Elms focus on providing an individualised therapeutic approach, with a focus on recovery and independent living.
The
successful candidate will carry out a range of assigned duties, this involves
direct care and observation of the young people under the guidance and indirect
supervision of qualified staff. You will report observations made to the
qualified staff whilst providing high-quality person-centred care to young
people. You will supervise activities, leisure and education while providing
details of mental state and risk factors. You will work with young people on a
1-1 or group basis to help identify and establish new skills to manage
emotional dysregulation and distress.
