Job summary
Associated Wellbeing Limited are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Healthcare Assistants, who would like to make a positive change to the lives of young people that we support at our new provision The Elms which will be opening soon. The Elms is a ten bedded child and adolescent community inpatient service based in Bradford, Yorkshire and will consist of assessment and treatment beds. The Elms will have a range of interventions available to the young people we support and the provision is designed to have 4- 12 week assessment beds and 6 – treatment beds which may be young people completing a full DBT therapy package.
We offer trauma informed mental health care to children of either gender from age eight, up to their eighteenth birthday. We provide step-down care for children who are ready to be discharged from Tier 4 child and adolescent mental health wards but may require additional support before returning home. We offer multidisciplinary assessment and trauma informed formulation driven care, aimed at supporting the safety and stabilisation of young people with complex needs and who are supported by Children's Social Care. Specialist interventions, including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) can be offered and we also provide an outreach service.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who is kind, caring and compassionate. You need to be able to work independently and use initiative, but equally work as part of a wider team. A positive attitude is imperative along with excellent communication and listening skills. The role includes, engaging the hard to engage and instilling hope in young people who struggle to see what tomorrow looks like.

We encourage our employees to learn and grow and offer a number of highly sought-after training opportunities, including, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Skills Training delivered by British Isles along with in house support overseen by our Clinical Psychologist. We can offer a Trainee Nurse Associate programme in association with UCLAN. Alternatively, for those wanting to progress to Manager level within the company, we offer an NVQ Level 5 Apprenticeship and Diploma in Children Young People and Families Manager.
