Staff Nurse - Day Surgery

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum - dependent on experience.

Shift Times: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Saturday. Shifts will be between the hours of 07:00 - 21:00

KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent, and we are recruiting. We have a fantastic opportunity for a strong and empathetic Staff Nurse to join our Day Surgery Unit on the bank.

Our busy Day Surgery Ward consists of 18 beds and provides care over multiple surgical specialities including opthalmics, gynaecology and gastroenterology.

As a staff nurse you willmanage a busy day case list for the whole of the patient journey from admission to discharge.

You will be absolutely patient focused with collaborative approach to work and a proven desire to deliver healthcare at its very best.

Previous experience on in Day Surgery is advantageous, but not essential.

The role will require shift rotation and is for 37.5 hours per week working shifts between Monday - Saturday. Shifts will be between the hours of 07:00 - 21:00 dependent on hospital requirement.

Main duties of the job

  • Assessing, planning and delivering care, based on individual patient and visitor needs
  • Demonstrating good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions, working within the NMC Code of Conduct
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient care
  • Working within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff as required
  • Demonstrating high standards of integrity and honesty, maintaining patient confidentiality
