KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and empathetic Physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Physical Therapy team as an Specialist Outpatient Physical Therapist.

Our Physical Therapy department at KIMS Hospital is a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Hand therapists, Women’s Health Specialist and a Consultant Sports Physician to provide exceptional patient care throughout the entire patient journey.

As a Specialist Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will assess and treat MSK and Orthopaedic patients and determine independent clinical diagnosis and the physical therapy treatment indicated whilst maintaining records in accordance with professional standards.

You will be a patient focused Physiotherapist with experience in MSK and Orthopaedics and a demonstrable ability to build relationships with both patients and consultants to provide healthcare at its very best.  You will have evidence of your own continued professional development and the desire to mentor junior members of staff.

This is a full-time contract working 37.5 h

Main duties of the job

  • To carry out assessments of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including those with complex presentations, using developed clinical reasoning gained through training and previous experience
  • Formulate and deliver physical therapy treatment programmes based on clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice
  • Effectively line manage more junior staff members and take an active part in student development
  • Contribute to the implementation of hospital policies and procedures in line with the CSP, CQC and other governing bodies
  • Engage with other medical professionals both internally and externally, maintaining professional clinical relationships
  • Be flexible to working patterns across weekdays and weekends, as the department operates across 7 days Inpatient and Outpatients
