Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 per year, dependent on experience 

Shifts: Monday - Saturday between the hours of 8.00am – 8.00pm

KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting.  We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Physical Therapy team.

Our Physical Therapy department at KIMS Hospital is a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Hand Therapists, Women’s Health Specialist and a Consultant Sports Physician to provide exceptional patient care throughout the entire patient journey. We are seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team. The individual will play a vital role in the development of therapy services, ensuring a first class service is provided for our patients.

As a Senior Outpatient Physiotherapist, you will assess and treat outpatients and determine independent clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated, and maintain records in accordance with professional standards.

You will be a patient focused Physiotherapist with experience in MSK and Orthopaedics and a demonstrable ability to build relationships with both patients and consultants to provide healthcare at its very best.  You will have evidence of your own continued professional development and the desire to mentor junior members of staff.

This is a full-time contract working 37.5 hours a week to cover a service Monday-Friday, 8.00am-8.00pm and Saturday, 8.00am-2.00pm.  The role covers the main site at KIMS, Maidstone and may require across our other sites, at Sevenoaks and Orpington.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Outpatient Physiotherapist, your duties will include:

• To carry out assessments of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including those with complex presentations, using developed clinical reasoning gained through training and previous experience
• Formulate and deliver physical therapy treatment programmes based on clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice
• Maintain accurate written record standards and to monitor those of more junior Physical Therapists
• Contribute to the implementation of hospital policies and procedures in line with the CSP, CQC and other governing bodies
• Engage with other medical professionals both internally and externally, maintaining professional clinical relationships
• Be flexible to working patterns across weekdays and weekends, as the department operates across 7 days Inpatient and Outpatients

Personal Specification

The ideal applicant will:

• Be a qualified Physiotherapist
• Be absolutely patient focused with a desire to facilitate a collaborative culture within the department
• Hold a valid registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent
• Have a minimum of 2 years post-registration clinical experience inclusive of management of orthopaedic patients.
• Be energetic and achievement focused with a passion for therapy and the desire to develop
• Possess evidence of continuous professional development
