Shifts:07.30 - 20.00 or 08.30 - 21.00 Monday to Saturday.

KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a desire to provide healthcare at its very best, to join our Day Surgery Unit as Bank Care Support worker.

Our busy Day Surgery Ward consists of 18 beds and provides care over multiple surgical specialities.
As a Care Support Worker on our Day Surgery Ward you will monitor patients conditions pre and post surgery, escalating to the nursing staff where necessary.
You will be a strong and empathetic person who is absolutely patient focused, with an ability to build trust in both your patients and your team.
This role is suitable for anyone who holds an NVQ 2 (or equivalent) in health and social care and has previously worked in a health care environment as a Care Support Worker, Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker, Imaging Assistant or Nursing Assistant.
This role is a bank role and is therefore a zero hours contract, covering absence and fluctuating hospital volumes. Available shifts will be 07.30 - 20.00 or 08.30 - 21.00 Monday to Saturday.
Main duties of the job
Role Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions
- Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, ecg's post surgery.
- Chaperone patients when required
- Willing to undertake phlebotomy when appropriately trained
- Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
