Role: Senior Cardiac Physiologist

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm, 10am - 4pm rotational.

Contract: Permanent

KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Echo-based Physiologist to join our Cardiology team as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist.

Our busy Cardiology team consists of a multi-skilled team of a Lead Physiologist, Senior Cardiac Physiologist, nurses and Care Support Workers who provide a full range of outpatient cardiology investigations including ECG, Stress Tests, Echocardiograms.

As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist you will be a key member of the Cardiology and Interventional Suite team carrying out a full range of outpatient Cardiac Investigations including Echo's and ECG's.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Physiologist and hold a post qualification BSE accreditation. You will have proven experience in outpatient cardiology.

Main duties of the job

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with Consultant Cardiologists in the provision of cardiac investigations
  • Rotating between the Cardiology Outpatients and Cardiac Interventional Suite Service within the Cath lab ensure all service needs are met
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures/protocols within the cardiorespiratory department
  • Assisting with the day-to-day revenue recapture and cost control process
  • Establishing a robust inpatient / outpatient diagnostic service
