Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioners / Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join our existing team, delivering high quality care across our portfolio of services. This will include work at Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre on Whitegate Drive (formerly the Walk-in Centre), DVT located at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and Blackpool Victoria Urgent Treatment Centre.

We are interested in hearing from caring, enthusiastic and ambitious Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Clinical Practitioners who can prescribe and who want to work in a dynamic environment where the quality of patient care matters.

**Minimum of 30 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week**

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of clinical staff who are attending to patients presenting with a booked appointment or with an unscheduled care need diagnosing, treating patients and advising people in respect of their continuing medical and nursing needs. Advanced Clinical Practitioners will act as role model in the delivery of the service by being a highly efficient and productive leader using their expert knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will need to prioritise the needs of the service, team and patients accordingly making any necessary decisions to maintain the safety of the patients and the effectiveness of the service.

  • 3 years minimum experience with extensive practice in a Primary Care or an Emergency Care Setting with ideally with adults and children.
  • Ability to take responsibility for the clinical care of all or specific groups of patients attending Bloomfield Medical Ltds portfolio of services
  • Well-developed and honed clinical skills and proven ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
  • Health Promotion experience
  • IT and computer literate

Desirable

  • Experience of Adastra clinical computer system
  • Experience of EMIS Clinical computer system
  • Experience in independent X-ray Interpretation.
  • Teaching Experience
  • Experience of managing a team and individuals.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse or Health Care worker with professional registration.
  • Extensive clinical experience within an unscheduled / urgent / primary care setting
  • Specific skills in assessing and treating those with minor injuries and illness
  • Non-medical prescribing v300 qualification
  • Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification
  • Masters level education or working toward Master level education (Band 7 and 8a)

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification / Mentorship Qualification
