Resources, Payroll and Pensions

60,000-£65,000 per annum FTE

in Longbow, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
This is an
excellent opportunity for an aspiring Director of Human Resources to join a
growing not for profit social enterprise with over 27 years experience of
providing high quality Health & Care services to people and communities
across England & Wales.
We are
seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Human Resources to join us.
This position will drive the development and day-to-day execution of the Human
Resource service while setting Organisational-wide HR strategies for the
Company. As a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), Head of Human
Resources, Payroll and Pensions will lead
the people initiative to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture
that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment,
and Organisational growth. This individual contributes as a strategic partner
in the accomplishment of departmental plans through initiatives that attract
and retain talent, develop employees and leaders and align Organisational goals
and objectives.
Reporting
to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Human Resources, Payroll and
Pensions will work within the SMT and have direct line management
responsibility for the HR Business Partner.
Main duties of the job
By joining our HR team, youll help shape the future of Shropdoc as we
continue our exciting journey of change to deliver a forward-thinking while
highly responsive HR service which supports decision making for the
organisation and its managers.
The
Package
Permanent contract, working 37.5 hours
per week within Monday to Friday from
our Head Office in Shrewsbury. Hours and days to be agreed, flexibility
can be offered around hours worked to suit you and the business
Salary of £60,000-
£65,000pa, level dependent on qualifications and experience

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree qualified or equivalent level of experience
- Qualified CIPD member with evidence of professional development
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of human resources, payroll and organisational
- development functions, ideally within the Health & Care/Public Sector
- Thorough knowledge of UK employment law, and proven experience of applying updated legislation in a variety of HR situations
- Significant experience of providing HR, payroll and organisational development advice in a complex multi-site environment
- Significant and demonstrable experience of developing, implementing and monitoring human resources and organisational development strategies and plans
- Experience of enabling and embedding change practices in a complex organisation
- Experience of training and facilitation
- Experience of close working with executive leaders
- Sound financial / budget management knowledge and experience

- Knowledge of UK Health & Care sector
- Knowledge of NHS Penison, Pay and Conditions
- A postgraduate level professional qualification
- An insight into the needs and priorities of staff, parents and pupils in the Health & Care sector
