Job summary

The Head of Operations is a senior management post within the Operations Directorate. As the Head of Operations you will have the opportunity to work with highly engaged Executives, working directly alongside the Head of Clinical Workforce to ensure high quality service provision and the delivery of organisation wide objectives.

As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Operations department. The successful postholder will manage allocated individuals, initially the Field Team Manager, the Call Centre Manager, the Senior Data Analyst, and the Rota supervisor. The Head of Operational Support will work closely with colleagues in the Medical Directorate to ensure a culture of continuous quality improvement that builds on our areas of strength and development. The role involves the development of the non-clinical Operational workforce and the planning and development of services to support company-wide objectives. The post holder will represent the Organisations performance at contract meetings with commissioners as well as at regional and national forums.

Main duties of the job

The role demands effective, visible, and strategic clinical leadership displaying and inspiring credible behaviours to support and develop the workforce, ensuring services remain effective, well performing, and safe.

You will need to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills coupled with excellent organisational ability, the ability to prioritise your work and meet tight deadlines. Functional relationships both within and across directorates are a key focus for the post holder and as such the post holder will be part of the Shropdoc Senior Management Team managing to day to day activities of the organisation.

As well as promoting excellent relationships within the organisation, the postholder will effectively communicate with external partner agencies and commissioners to ensure the organisation is represented to the highest standards.

The post holder will participate on the Management on call rota.
