Job summary
As the Head of Clinical Services, you will hold a pivotal role within our Hospital, delivering engaging communication to our teams, patients and wider hospital peers, bringing innovative ideas and the ability to collaborate at all levels.
Your responsibilities will focus on optimising clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of excellence in healthcare provision.
Main duties of the job
1. Strategic Leadership:- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance clinical services and patient care outcomes.- Provide leadership to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
2. Clinical Operations Management:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical departments to ensure efficient service delivery.- Monitor and optimise clinical workflows to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
3. Compliance and Quality Assurance:- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and quality standards in clinical practices.- Implement comprehensive compliance programs to maintain high standards of care.
4. Staff Development and Training:- Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of clinical staff.- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the clinical team.
5. Patient Care Coordination:- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans effectively.- Ensure seamless transitions of care for patients across different departments.
6. Performance Improvement:- Identify areas for improvement in clinical services and implement strategies for enhancement.- Monitor key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in patient care delivery.

- Responsible for
providing clinical direction and strong, professional leadership to all
clinical staff including nursing, allied health professionals and medical staff
either directly employed or working under practising privileges.
- Support to the
clinical leads and their respective departments and being ultimately
accountable for the performance of all clinical services.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance by
ensuring knowledge of clinical and professional developments in accordance with
the NMC revalidation process and the HCPC/GPC standards of continuing professional
development requirements.
- As part of the Senior Managment team, the role works with other senior managers to create and deliver the strategic, operational, and a dynamic business development plan for the hospital.
- Ensuring incidents and complaints are recorded in accordance with Kinvara policy and processes.
- Investigating and referring all adverse incidents appropriatley and maintaining accurate and factual reports.
- Ensuring all clinical polices are upto date and reflective of the business.
- Achievement of audits schelduled and action plans completion.
- Monitor and manage the Hospital Risk Register.
- Participation in hospital cover / manager on-call rotas including week nights and weekend shifts where applicable.
