Job summary

Formally known as GP Care, Cohese Healthcare is an award-winning social enterprise working alongside the NHS and other providers to provide high quality diagnostics and short-term treatment within local communities.

From November 2025 until at least March 2026 we will be running a new DVT service in Swindon and are looking for a sonographer to join our team on a casual/bank basis.

We also have an NHS urology service in Swindon along with other services in Gloucestershire and BNSSG (Bristol, North Somerset, South Glos). Please contact us if you would like to find out more about these services.

Main duties of the job

To be proficient in performing ultrasound examinations in a diagnostic DVT service and provide a clear and concise report in line with local guidelines. To utilise specialist ultrasound knowledge to ensure that images are of the highest diagnostic quality. To maintain professional standards and effective communication to assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective community ultrasound service. You will be a key part of team where the ability to use your own initiative, multi-task, act unsupervised and prioritise activity are all essential.
