GP Care UK Limited

Patient Coordinator

The closing date is 29 August 2025

Job summary

Patient Coordinator

Our Patient Coordinators are the heart of our organisation, connecting our patients with the service they need and looking after their journey from referral to discharge. They are friendly, knowledgeable and empathetic, with great attention to detail plus their work makes a difference every day.

We're an independent provider of health services, based in Bristol and providing services across the South West. Our aim is to provide care closer to home in a timely way.

As well as our NHS clinics, we also provide a self-paying Minor Surgery service, and this is where we are looking to appoint another Patient Coordinator. Although the focus of the role will be enabling patients to access our Minor Surgery service by matching their needs to an appropriate surgeon, you will also provide cross cover support to our NHS services.

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, come and join us at GP Care.

It's a really exciting time to join GP Care as our services grow and develop, so you could be part of shaping our future.

You'll be based at our headquarters in Aztec West, alongside the other Patient Coordinators. We currently work on a hybrid basis with the team coming into our office for approximately 50% of their working hours.

Working hours: up to 30 hours per week over 4 days, must include a Friday.

For an informal chat, or to obtain more information about the role, please contact Sarah Murphy, Senior Patient Coordinator on sarah.murphy@gpcare.org.uk.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for receiving patient referrals and enquiries online, via email or by telephone and managing the patient documentation through triage to the clinic. You will manage clinic schedules, booking patients into the appropriate clinics for diagnostic tests, assessment and treatment while ensuring that clinic time is managed efficiently. Excellent attention to detail is required and maintaining confidentiality in the management of critical patient information.
