As a DEXA/CT Radiographer, you will be responsible for conducting unsupervised scanning sessions, showcasing your expertise, and contributing to exceptional standards of patient safety and patient care. Main duties of the job
- Conduct a range of scans adhering to DHC, Local, Regional, and National Guidelines.
- Independently provide safe and high-quality diagnostic imaging services in DEXA.
- Exercise personal and professional autonomy, making critical clinical judgments using your knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company/Trust policies.
- Greet and explain scanning procedures to patients in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Enter accurate patient data and assist patients safely.
- Ensure patient dignity and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with clinic/hospital teams and address service-related issues and queries.
- Complete end-of-day reports and upload images to PACS.
- Support scanner maintenance and report stock requirements.
- Support in the training of other radiographers as required.
- Stay up to date with DEXA scanning procedures and trends.
- Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and assist in incident/complaint investigations.

- BSc in Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC Registration
- Proficiency in Radiographic techniques, including DEXA Scanning (preferred).

- Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated understanding of patient care, health & safety, and continuous professional development (CPD) requirements.
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable).
