As an Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of ultrasound sessions, providing essential support to both patients and our dedicated Radiographers in our Southeast Region clinics in Wisbech. Main duties of the job

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner, confirming their identification and inputting accurate patient data into the ultrasound system.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, providing clear explanations and instructions regarding ultrasound examinations.
  • Collaborate closely with Radiographers to maintain a seamless patient database, ensuring accurate recording of patient appointments and promptly addressing any booking errors or urgent reports.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring the cleanliness of radiography equipment and rooms.
  • Assist patients safely using proper manual handling techniques, supporting them during procedures and advocating for their comfort and well-being.
  • Act as a first-line investigator for any issues encountered during clinical sessions, liaising with the patient services team to ensure swift resolutions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and uphold the highest standards of patient care.
  • To attend training for cannulation of patients.
