As a nationally recognised, multi-award-winning residential centre for neurological and complex trauma rehabilitation, we welcome individuals aged 16 and over from across the UK and beyond.

Main duties of the job
The Kitchen Assistant at STEPS provides support to our team of Chefs with cleaning and maintaining our high standards. They also provide high quality service to our clients, aligned with STEPS values and behaviours and working as a key member of the inter-disciplinary team.

The Kitchen Assistant consistently follows food safety standards, keeps work areas clean and organised, and completes tasks promptly to support the wider team. They communicate clearly, stay calm during busy periods, and are proactive in helping wherever needed.
A successful Kitchen Assistant serves our clients, staff and visitors in a friendly, approachable manner, where nothing is ever too much trouble. They contribute to a positive kitchen environment and help ensure that meals are prepared and served to a high standard.
