multi-award-winning residential centre for neurological and complex trauma
rehabilitation, we welcome individuals aged 16 and over from across the UK and
beyond.

This new role was created to meet the
growing demand for therapeutic and wellbeing-focused services, and your

programs, working closely with colleagues to integrate recreational therapy
into client timetables, and showing the positive impact your work has on client
outcomes.

The Recreational Therapist will design,
deliver, and oversee recreational programs that enrich the lives of individuals
aged 1680. This role is central to fostering inclusion, wellbeing, and social
connection through engaging activities and community participation.

Develop and manage a calendar of events that promotes social engagement, learning, and fun.

Ensure inclusivity and accessibility in all activities, adapting approaches to meet individual preferences.
Drive wheelchair-accessible vehicles to support safe and comfortable transport for clients.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, gathering feedback to continuously improve offerings.
Maintain records and reports on participation, outcomes, and resource use
To effectively communicate using a variety of styles that demonstrates the values and behaviours of STEPS.
To communicate with people clearly and in a manner and at a level and pace appropriate to their abilities, preferences and beliefs.
To develop effective relationships with clients, carers, staff, suppliers and others as from time to time may be required.
To use all resources responsibly being mindful of the implications of your decisions.
To be responsible for day-to-day workload allocation, interacting with the STEPS team as appropriate.

- Valid drivers license with experience driving wheelchair-accessible vehicles

- Key trainer/train the trainer qualification.
