Job summary
As a Senior Rehabilitation Assistant you will provide high quality therapeutic care to STEPS clients in line with their care and rehabilitation plans, whilst supporting the client to be as independent as possible. You will work with and support our inter-disciplinary team of nurses and therapists.

Main duties of the job
This
is a managerial position, and the Senior Rehabilitation Assistant (SRA) will be
responsible for overseeing the Rehabilitation Assistants (RAs) working on their
floors under the guidance of the Senior RA Coordinator and Nurse in charge. The
SRA will be a role model to more junior members of the team and lead by
example, coaching RAs to develop their confidence and skills.
The
SRA will also continue to work operationally within our inter-disciplinary team
providing high-quality holistic care support to STEPS clients, who have complex
care and rehabilitation needs. They will provide support throughout their
rehabilitation journey in a way that is aligned with STEPS values and
behaviours through working as a key member of the inter-disciplinary team.

STEPS Rehabilitation opened in May 2017 by founders,
directors (and family) Jules, Toria, and Ray. STEPS
deliver intensive and ongoing rehabilitation for people recovering from brain
injury, spinal cord injury, strokes, and complex trauma injuries, enabling them

actioning issues of poor conduct or behaviour to ensure standards are upheld,

To undertake individual rehabilitation plans for our clients
providing suitable feedback via the Nurses to members of the

To involve clients and carers in the development and delivery of
goals within the care plan
To provide support and guidance to other members of the
interdisciplinary team
To escalate issues as required following STEPS guidance and

within STEPS procedures
