We are seeking an enthusiastic Pathologist to join
our motivated and dynamic team in Dorchester. This is an exciting opportunity

integrates conventional histopathology with cutting-edge molecular pathology.

Main duties of the job
What You Will Do
- Work closely with the NHS, supporting whole pathology services, including participation in MDTs across all specialties
- Contribute to integrated histopathology and molecular diagnostic reporting
- Engage in service development, innovation, and quality improvement
- Participate in teaching, training, research, and development (R&D) activities
- Support and mentor junior colleagues within a supportive and nurturing team

Poundbury Cancer Institute (PCI) is a specialised cancer diagnostics organisation based in Poundbury, Dorset, UK.
PCI evolved in 2012 within the Department of Histopathology at Dorset County Hospital, in partnership with Roche Tissue Diagnostics and UK NEQAS-IHC&ISH to address unmet diagnostic needs.

Applications are welcomed from senior pathologists, newly appointed consultants, and trainees nearing CCT, with a strong emphasis on attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Job plans will be agreed based on service needs, MDT commitments, and individual expertise, and reviewed annually. Workload allocation is equitable across consultants, with urgent cases prioritised. Flexibility of working hours is possible subject to service requirements.
Salary and performance-related pay as agreed
