Job summary

You will be required to deliver a comprehensive and high-quality cleaning service within designated areas of Campsfield House, ensuring all environments meet required cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within a detention setting.

Main duties of the job

Provide a thorough cleaning service in line with the agreed cleaning schedules and standards. Clean all areas, including toilets, showers, fixtures, and fittings, to maintain a hygienic and safe environment. Work safely at all times, ensuring full compliance with COSHH regulations and Mitie policies and standards. Maintain cleaning equipment so it remains serviceable, functional, and ready for immediate use, avoiding delays in meeting required standards. Use, handle, transport, and store cleaning equipment and materials securely and correctly to support a safe and secure working environment. Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues promptly so corrective action can be taken. Monitor and report cleaning stock levels to relevant staff to ensure continuous availability of materials. Operate professionally and responsibly within a detention setting, following all site-specific procedures and security requirements. On occasion, safely undertake the cleaning of body fluids, including blood, urine, and faeces, in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
