Bushey Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ward Nurse to
join our team as a Senior Nurse/ Team Lead on a full time, 12 month fixed term
contract.
We have
a fantastic opportunity available for a nurse looking to expand their
experience working as a part of the wider clinical team.

Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio, and is supported by and works
alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire
Pathology Centre. Our theatre team cover a wide variety of specialties
including Ortho, Bariatric, General, Gyane, ENT, Urology, Plastics,
Ophthalmics, Spinal.

Main duties of the job
Support
the ward manager with the management and leadership of the team as the
department expands and grows
Carry
out individualised nursing care and procedures to the highest standards
complying with hospital policies and procedures at all times
Chaperone
and assist Consultants during examination of the patient's and surgical
procedures and assists in arranging investigations requested by Consultants
Carry
out any other duties delegated by the Ward Manager / team leader for the proper
and efficient care of the patient's and the smooth running of the department
You
will be responsible for risk assessments and Datix investigations
Develop
own knowledge and skills and that of others.
Promote
best practice in health and safety and security.
Assist in maintaining and
developing services.

Be NMC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical
knowledge acquired through state registration.
Compassionate and able to showcase excellent patient care
Strong Assessment skills
Strong communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Computer literate
Efficient with workload
Experience in Outpatients or a similar setting is desirable
