Oncology Pharmacist | Spire Leicester Hospital | Oadby, Leicester | Full Time
Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to lead and develop our specialist oncology pharmacy service. Your Role:
As our Oncology Pharmacist, you will:
Lead and deliver a specialist oncology pharmacy service across the hospitalProvide expert clinical advice to consultants, clinicians, and patientsEnsure the safe, compliant, and cost-effective use of medicinesSupport and influence evidence-based clinical decision makingOversee and optimise chemotherapy services and medication processesWork collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomesDrive service development, innovation, and quality improvement initiativesContribute to the commercial and strategic growth of oncology services
What You'll Be Accountable For:
Delivering and evaluating high-quality pharmaceutical care for complex patientsMonitoring and optimising the use, movement, and management of medicinesLeading on governance, safety, and regulatory complianceManaging resources, including stock control and budget oversightSupporting and developing colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practiceUsing data and insight to improve services and patient outcomes
Who We're Looking For:
You'll be a confident, credible pharmacist with strong clinical and leadership capability:
Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)Postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in clinical pharmacy, ideally with an oncology focusProven experience delivering oncology pharmacy servicesStrong understanding of chemotherapy and cancer treatment pathwaysExperience working collaboratively with consultants and MDTsAbility to challenge and influence clinical practice using evidence-based approachesPrevious leadership or supervisory experienceCommercial awareness, with an interest in service development
Experience within the independent sector is beneficial, but not essential.
