Specialist Nurse - Cancer Services | Spire Leicester Hospital | Oadby, Leicester | 12 month FTC (37.5 hours per week)
Spire Leicester Hospital is looking for a passionate and experienced Chemotherapy Specialist Nurse to join our growing Cancer Services team on a 12 month fixed term contract. Your Role:
As a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse, you will:
Act as a key worker, supporting patients through complex cancer pathwaysDeliver safe, high-quality chemotherapy (SACT) and holistic patient careWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service deliveryAssess, plan, and evaluate care across a dynamic and varied caseloadCommunicate sensitive information with professionalism and empathySupport and drive service development and quality improvement initiativesPromote best practice in infection control, safety, and patient wellbeing
What We're Looking For:
You'll be a confident and compassionate nurse who thrives in a specialist setting:
Registered Nurse with relevant oncology experienceQualified in SACT administration (accredited)Competent in venepuncture, cannulation, and CVAD managementExperience managing complex cancer patient caseloadsComfortable working independently within a nurse-led environmentStrong clinical reasoning and decision-making skillsCommitted to continuous professional development
