Registered Nurse | Pre-Operative Assessment | Leicester - Oadby | Part time | Permanent
Spire Leicester Hospital is looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dedicated PreOperative Assessment team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a hospital recognised for delivering exceptional patient care across the East Midlands and beyond.

What you'll Be Doing
In this pivotal role, you'll help ensure our patients are fully prepared for their upcoming procedures. No two days will be the same. You will:
Support the Lead Nurse in running a safe, effective, patientcentred preassessment service.Provide and coordinate preoperative assessments, collaborating with Consultants, Anaesthetists, and wider clinical teams.Deliver exceptional nursing care across a variety of specialities.Use your clinical expertise to communicate sensitive and complex information with clarity and compassion.Promote best practice in health and safety, infection control, and clinical governance.Help continuously improve patient experience and departmental processes.Mentor junior colleagues and deputise for senior staff when required.Uphold NMC standards, safeguarding policies, confidentiality requirements, and our organisational values.

NMC Registered NurseStrong clinical experience, ideally with some preassessment exposurePrevious surgical environment experienceCompetence across a range of nursing skillsUptodate mandatory training, including infection control & health and safetySound understanding of CQC standards and accountable practiceStrong clinical reasoning skills and confidence working with varied and complex patient casesEquipment and medical devices competencyExperience or understanding of Root Cause Analysis
