The Montefiore Hospital is recruiting for a Nursing Team Lead to join us on a permanent basis to assist in the management of our Pre-Assessment unit. You will work with a supportive team that includes nurses, senior nurses and senior management, ensuringteams deliver effective patient care by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership.

The Montefiore Hospital is a premium provider of private healthcare in Hove- East Sussex. Duties and responsibilities

The Nursing Team Lead will provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing a team. They will ensure the team delivers effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.

The role is made up of 80% clinical time and 20% management time.

  • Provide appropriate day to day managerial leadership
  • Promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all Patients, Employees and Consultants acting as an advocate to more junior members of the team
  • Provide effective and efficient clinical leadership and management of POA resources, driving clinical excellence in all aspect of care received by patients
  • Plan off duty to meet the needs of the department
  • Plan and deliver training and education to team members
  • Represent the POA team at meetings
  • Take a leadership role in the planning, development and implementation of expanded services within the service
  • Ensure the day to day running of the POA unit remains in line with safe staffing policy
  • Take an active role in the clinical audit and action program for the unit

Who we're looking for

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration - with no restrictions on practise
  • Be used to working in teams with minimum supervision.
  • Pre-assessment qualifications
  • Proven experience of working in pre-assessment as a lead or Senior Nurse
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
  • Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solution for the service
