Spire Southampton Hospital are looking to recruit an experienced and committed Perfusionist to join our friendly operating theatre team on a Bank contract Consultants come to work with us from all across the UK and you will work closely with them and be exposed to the latest innovative, evidence-based clinical techniques.
Spire Southampton provides a wide range of services including day care and inpatient and outpatient services. The main activity is elective (planned) surgery, and more complex procedures such as cardiac and spinal surgery are supported by the onsite critical care facilities.
We provide highly specialist services which makes Spire Southampton unique from many other private hospitals offering a range of treatments and surgery not undertaken elsewhere in private practice. We deliver to the highest standard of care to patients with excellent reported patient outcomes in cardiac surgery, putting patients at the heart of everything we do.
Duties and responsibilities
- To provide exemplary planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention while managing a team.
- To ensure the team delivers effective patients care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership, maximising effective theatres utilisation.
- To Take on additional department responsibilities as identified locally
- Promoting best practice and contributing towards quality improvements
Who we are looking for
- Perfusionist qualification
- Working as a Perfusionist at a senior level in and across multi disciplinary teams
- Evidence of substantial post registration continual professional development in management and related and relevant perioperative subjects
- Competence across a range of either surgical, anaesthetic or post-anaesthesia,
- management and leadership skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge
