Job summary

Senior CT/MRI Radiographer | Imaging | Private Hospital | Permanent, Full-time | Southampton Spire Southampton Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Cross-Sectional Radiographer. We are seeking an experienced Radiographer with experience in both CT & MRI to join the imaging team on a full-time permanent basis.

Main duties of the job

  • To be part of a team delivering high quality, efficient radiographic service.
  • To provide highly skilled and specialised imaging for patients, to make informed decisions on the diagnostic imaging required and to demonstrate a professional, caring and responsible approach to the duties carried out.
  • To work as a Senior Cross Sectional Radiographer to a high professional standard and to provide assistance, training and guidance to others, mainly to radiographers, helpers and students in order to maintain these standards.
  • To be responsible for the standard of own imaging work and that of other supervised radiographers and students: This standard will be that set by Spire.
  • To ensure that an efficient throughput of patient examinations is achieved. This will also involve advice of the booking of appointments and advice on preparation as required.
  • To ensure that patients are cared for in the department especially in their own area of work. To communicate to patients and others any delays likely to affect them, and within the standards set by the HPC to describe examination findings, if appropriate

    • Who we're looking for: * Qualified Radiographer * Current Registration with HCPC with no restriction on practise * Experience of working in both CT and MRI * Excellent communication skills Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week on rotation. Department is open between 07:30 and 22:00 with some Saturdays and full O/C commitment is required.
