Main duties of the job
As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you'll play a pivotal
part in delivering outstanding patient care while driving innovation in our
digital-forward lab. Key responsibilities include
Collaborating with the SHC Histology team to uphold
exemplary standards.
Performing preventative maintenance on digital
scanners to keep operations humming.
Mentoring staff to excel in the digital section.
Partnering with Pathology Managers, Deputies, and
Seniors for efficient, cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.
Advancing your expertise in investigation,
reporting, and technology application.
Analysing and interpreting complex data to inform
decisions.
Optimising specimen workflows and monitoring
pathology investigations.
Communicating sensitive information with empathy and
precision.
Building your skills (and those of your colleagues)
through continuous learning.
Championing health, safety, security, equality,
diversity, and rights.
Supporting service development, quality
improvements, and staff training.
Stepping up to deputise for senior BMS during
absences.
Ensuring smooth digital section operations to hit
turnaround times.
