Spire Bristol Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Catheter Lab Team Leader to join the team on a maternity cover basis.

Role purpose:
- To assist the Cardiology Services Manager in the running of the Cath Lab on a day to day basis
- To co-ordinate and ensure all departmental audits are completed
- To undertake evidence based projects, including recommendations for changes in practice
- To line manage and develop a discrete team within the department including performance matters
- To be involved in the recruitment of new members of staff
- To be able to give judgement on a variety of complex clinical, staff & operational problems
- To liaise with other departments and provide practical solutions to any issues which may arise (e.g. stock and equipment, etc)
- To undertake clinical Cath Lab and Cardiology pre-assessment duties
- To provide specialist education and teaching to junior Cath Lab staff and or other departments (e.g. ward staff, PACU/Recovery, Theatre/ODP, etc)
- To act as a Specialist Cardiology resource for the multi-disciplinary team within Spire Healthcare
- To assist in staff rotas maximising the use of staff, resources and activity within Cath Lab
Main duties of the job
Duties and responsibilities:

- Undertake Human Resource activities for all members of the team.
- Assist with research and development.
- Plan, monitor and quality assure the application of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
