Specialist MSK Physiotherapist | Physiotherapy | Thames Valley | Slough | 30 hours per week | Competitive salary

Spire Thames Valley is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis. You will be required to work across in MSK outpatients, assisting with clinics and also work in inpatient orthopaedics when required.

Main duties of the job

Duties and responsibilities

  • To take the lead role in the advanced physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal/sports medicine patients. These patients may have complex and/or chronic presentations.
  • Provide specialist education and teaching
  • To lead departmental research and audit in this clinical area.
  • To ensure the teams deliver effective care to clients, presenting with musculoskeletal injuries by providing excellent clinical and organisational leadership.
  • To act as a Specialist Physiotherapy resource for the multi- disciplinary team, and Physiotherapists within Spire Healthcare
  • To promote and assist in marketing of service developments to GP's, Consultants and external agencies.
  • To undertake evidence based projects, including recommendations for changes in practice.
  • To assist with inpatient orthopaedic service when required.
  • To deputise in the absence of Physiotherapy manager when required.

Who we're looking for:

  • Degree (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy) or equivalent with active registration with no conditions or restrictions.
  • MSK experience essential.
  • Experience of assessing, diagnosing and treating a range of patients/cases.
  • Ideally candidate will have acupuncture and 'women's or men's health' experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Working Hours: 30 hours, flexible shifts with weekend working included.
