Spire Gatwick Park are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Pre-Assessment Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in one of the UKs leading Private Healthcare Providers.
Spire Gatwick Park Hospital is just a few miles away from Gatwick Airport. Central London and Victoria station are a 30-minute train ride away. The Hospital consists of two outpatient areas and a Bupa Health Assessment centre. There are two ward areas with 29 single rooms, a two bedded emergency recovery unit with a sixteen-bedded day care unit, and five single rooms. There are three operating theatres, two with laminar flow.
Main duties of the job
Duties and responsibilities
- You will support in assessing patients health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
- Undertake electronic pre-operative assessment of patients
- Identify and escalate patients of concern against the hospital's admission criteria to senior nursing staff
- Ability to undertake a full patient health assessment and triage their pre-operative assessment requirements
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet the individuals health and well being needs.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information
- Promote best practice in health and safety and security

- You will have excellent communication skills, along with being organised and can showcase excellent patient care
- You will have experience of working in a dedicated Pre-Assessment department
- Excellent team working skills
Working Hours:37.5 hrs per week 8:00-18:00 over 4 days. Some late evenings, and occasional Saturdays.
