Job summary
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administration
duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary
team. Duties can include but are not
limited to, scanning and processing of documents, processing and filtering
medical reports and letters via DOCMAN; some reception duties including greeting
and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking
appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required.
To act as the central point of contact for patients letters,
reports and other such documentation and ensuring the distribution of
information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with
multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care
and community service providers.

occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon
factors such as workload and staffing level

The practice operates across two sites; Willesden (main site), Wembley (branch site).
The practice have under new management undergone a significant amount of changes in the last two years, including the recent merger with another local practice.

This is a fixed-term position for 9 months, with full-time or part-time options available. Candidates should have experience working with patients and be comfortable using practice systems such as EMIS or SystmOne.
Job Responsibilities:

Receive correspondence from external agencies and process accordingly

Scan documents to the relevant software and log them

Filter documents and pass them to clinicians to read and action

Initiate contact with and respond to requests from patients, team members, and external agencies

Photocopy documentation as required

Support administrative staff and provide cover during absences

Input data into patient healthcare records as necessary

Manage queries efficiently

Maintain a clean and tidy working area

Support clinical staff with general tasks as requested

Complete administrative tasks related to patient results and letters
