Opcare have been providing the prosthetic
and orthotic services in Cambridge since 2002 and have recently been re-awarded
the contract, this role is an excellent opportunity to have a key influence
within the service to advance and improve the delivery of service.
The department is newly based in a purpose-built
facility just to the south of Addenbrookes hospital, a world-renowned hospital
for trauma, cancer and vascular care. The facility has consultant care, amputee
rehab and gait lab facilities. There is a complex mix of patients and extended
practice clinics which provides a great opportunity to be exposed to
interesting and varied caseloads.
There is an on-site workshop with
skilled staff providing a collaborative working approach to device design and
manufacture.
Main duties of the job
We are currently seeking an experienced Prosthetist who is looking for
an opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic
team in Cambridge.
The role will involve working with a complex clinical case load, it will
present exciting opportunities to develop clinical skillsets. The role will be
instrumental in working with the prosthetic team, consisting of clinicians,
technicians and wider NHS MDT to advance and improve the delivery of the
service.
