We
are currently seeking an experienced orthotist who is looking for an opportunity
to develop their career and be a part of our dynamic service in Gloucester.
The
role will involve working with a complex clinical case load and will present
exciting opportunities to develop clinical and leadership skillsets.
The role includes both
independent working and a couple of times a month, working in clinics alongside
the Clinical Lead who this role reports to.

Opcares Gloucester services cover
orthotic clinics in Gloucester Royal, Stroud, The Vale, Cirencester,
Tewkesbury, North Cotswolds Hospital, and Cheltenham Hospitals. The department
provides inpatient, outpatient and community orthotic care for a wide variety
of patients. There is a complex mix of adult and paediatric MDTs and extended
practice clinics which provide a great opportunity to be exposed to interesting
and varied caseloads.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all
patients and the smooth running of the service
Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams MDTs
Inputting and leading on initiatives within the service development plan
Conduct comprehensive assessment of patients to determine their orthotic
needs
Develop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plans
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and
practices
Provide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the
treatment process
Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, suppling, reviewing and
adjusting orthoses as required
Maintaining appropriate clinical notes
The
role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement service
improvements for the betterment of patients in Gloucester and surrounding areas.
The
successful candidate will be supported with local, regional, and national
training to develop their clinical skills to support the service. We aim to
deliver a first-class service for users whilst applying the most advanced and
exciting clinical and technical solutions available to patients.
Qualifications:
Either:
Certified Orthotist
HND Orthotics
BSc Orthotics
Must also be fully
HCPC Registered.
Must hold a
current and valid full drivers license
