Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Clinical Lead Prosthetist to join our team. The role will play a pivotal role in advancing the quality of our prosthetic services across the country, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership

Provide clinical leadership to the national team of prosthetists and support staff across multiple Opcare clinics, ensuring adherence to best practices and company protocols.

  • Patient Care

Lead by example to assess, design, fabricate, and fit prosthetic devices to patients, addressing their individual needs and requirements. Ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes with appropriate measures.

  • Training and Development

Mentor, train, and guide prosthetic staff, supporting their professional growth and skill development. Plan, co-ordinate and deliver an annual training program to support the workforce needs of the business.

Main duties of the job

  • Quality Assurance:

Establish and maintain clinical quality standards for prosthetic services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Work with manufacturing leads to ensure quality products are produced in a timely manner to the required specification and quality standards.

  • Research and Development:

Stay updated with the latest prosthetic trends, technology, and research. Implement innovative solutions and techniques to enhance patient outcomes.

  • Collaboration:

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, consultants, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive care to patients. Work with intercompany operations to ensure delivery of budgets and product innovations to support positive patient outcomes.

  • Compliance:

Ensure all clinical practices follow relevant healthcare regulations and standards. Maintain awareness and alignment, as required with external benchmarking and engage positively with national stakeholder organisations

  • Reporting:

Utilise data driven reports related to clinical activities, patient outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure services meet required KPIs in line with budget. Report against progress of service development plans.

  • Professional Development:

Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current licensure and certifications.

Competitive salary and benefits package.

Travel will be required to visit Opcare clinics nationwide, but the role is expected to continue to undertake regular clinical practice
