Consultant Neurologist

Job summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant level Neurologist to support outpatient neurology services. This role is ideal for a specialist registered doctor with substantial NHS consultant level experience, even if not currently in a substantive post.

The successful clinician will deliver high quality outpatient neurology care, initially focusing on new patient assessments with scope to incorporate follow up appointments as the service develops.

Main duties of the job

Conduct outpatient neurology clinics, seeing approximately 16 patients per clinic.

Manage general neurology presentations; all patients will be new, with follow ups introduced later (15minute slots).

Provide clear, timely clinical documentation using the Trusts Dragon dictation system.

Complete results and administrative tasks weekly, with protected admin time allocated.

Work collaboratively with Trust staff and contribute to safe, effective patient pathways.
