Job summary
We are seeking experienced and highly competent Ultrasound Sonographers to support our expanding NHS insourcing service across two community diagnostic locations. The postholder will deliver a high quality, patient centred ultrasound service with an approximate 50/50 split between Gynaecology and General Ultrasound examinations.
This role is ideal for Sonographers who are confident working autonomously, committed to clinical excellence, and motivated to support waiting list recovery across local NHS services.
Main duties of the job
Perform highquality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with professional and local clinical guidelines.
Manage a varied caseload including Gynaecology, Abdominal, Renal and Testicular scans.
Produce accurate, timely and clinically robust reports.
Ensure all imaging is appropriately documented and stored in line with GDPR and informationgovernance requirements.
Provide compassionate, patientcentred care, ensuring dignity, comfort and safety at all times.
Work collaboratively with the insourcing team to maintain smooth clinic flow and effective communication.
Contribute to reducing waiting times while maintaining high clinical standards.
Adhere to infection control policies and all relevant NHS and professional regulations.

- MSc, DMU, or Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Medical Ultrasound from a CASE accredited programme.
- HCPC or RCT registration.
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
- Demonstrable competency in

- Uptodate CPD portfolio.
- Current professional membership (e.g., BMUS).
- Own professional indemnity insurance
