We are currently seeking experiencedTheatre Registered Nurses (RN)with expertise inScrubto join our high-performing orthopaedic surgical team. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced theatre environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional care inmajor hip and knee arthroplastyprocedures.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality preoperative care across both scrub and anaesthetic roles.
- Support high-volume orthopaedic lists, with a minimum of5 cases per day, scaling up to78 cases.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and equipment for major joint replacement surgeries.
- Assist anaesthetists in patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery phases.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with clinical governance and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre teams to optimise patient outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold best practices in surgical nursing.
