Job summary
Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a registered Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Homecare Team where you will play a key role in dispensing and checking both licensed products and aseptically prepared products made under a Manufacturing Specials licence.
Working within our Pharmacy team,using your knowledge and expertise, you will be setting up and checking homecare prescriptions, liaising with referring prescribers as appropriate.
We are passionate about ensuring the products we supply support excellent care for patients in their own homes.
We work Monday-Friday 37.5 hours a week, plus 5 of the bank holidays. Your start and finish times can be chosen between 7am up to 8.30pm. You will also be required to be part of the on-call rota.

Main duties of the job
Here is what you can expect to be doing:
- Undertake the duties of Responsible Pharmacist in the registered B. Braun Medical Pharmacy premises as required
- Dispense medicinal products from the B. Braun Medical Pharmacy, e.g. Prescriptions for Homecare Total Parental Nutrition (TPN) and ancillaries and home dialysis patients
- Manage the day to day running of the TransCare (TPN) and Avitum home dialysis dispensing process in the absence of the Superintendent Pharmacist.
- Provides specialist professional expertise for existing and new patient services.
What you'll need to succeed...
- Be a registered Pharmacist with a Pharmacy degree or equivalent
- Pharmacy and dispensing experience
- Experience in supervising others
- Have the ability to concentrate for long periods of time and to work effectively independently
- Possess excellent communication skills, time management skills and the ability to work well against strict timescales
- Able to work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
